3DOTS - 3D Open Team Sorting was founded on the principle of being an open platform for any rider to be able to pair with a partner(s) of their choice. A rider is required to have at least one draw ride per open class they are riding in (3M2G, No Lope and Ranch sorting). How does this work. Let's say a rider wants to ride "full" that's a total of 10 rides. The rider can choose the partner(s) for 9 teams and the 10th is a random draw, a draw of chance. This enables a rider to compete alongside another rider that they would not be able to using the ranking system.
The Open 3 Man 2 Gate, No Lope and Ranch Sorting classes have a maximum of 10 rides. The go backs will be based on the number of riders in the class for the D format structure.
We also offer Ranch Sorting in a Youth Class and a Masters Class which have age restrictions.
To ride in the Youth, you must be 15 years old or younger by Jan 1st of the show year. There is a 5 ride maximum limit all draw rides. Youth will not have a go-back but will be placed in the D format based on how many riders were in the class. The entry fee is $10/ride.
The Masters Class requries that you be age 50 or older by Jan 1st of the show year. There is a 5 ride maximum limit all draw rides. There will be a go back in our Masters Class like our Open classes based on the number of riders in the class.
3DOTS membership is $50 dollars per individual or for family since we promote a familiy atmosphere.
All Open type classes the entry fee is $25 a ride, with $2 dollars from each ride going toward added money for finals.
